Japanese brands Casio and Asics have partnered up to launch a limited-edition of the iconic Casio G-Shock watch. Inspired by the style of Asics’ AsicsTiger sneakers, the watch features a white face with red accents on the hour and minute hands. The case back is engraved with the AsicsTiger logo, and the packaging is a miniature version of the AsicsTiger shoe boxes.
Titled GBA800AT-1A, the watch is set to launch in July. Casio informed in a statement that the watch will retail for 160 US dollars on the brand’s website, the G-Shock Soho Store in New York City, and all US retailers selling Casio’s watches -- including Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Dillard’s.
The watch will feature a built-in accelerometer to measure daily steps taken at walking and running pace. The limited-edition G-shock model will also pair with smartphones via bluetooth to further track fitness activity.
