Century 21 expands to Florida with prime shopping location

Department store Century 21 recently confirmed that it will be expanding in the U.S. The retailer just confirmed a new opening in Florida this month spanning 85,000 square feet.

The new store bows in Sunrise, Florida at Sawgrass Mills shopping center. The location was chosen due the shopping center’s reach for incoming customers. “We’ve been a destination for domestic and international travelers who seek designer brands at incredible values, so naturally Sawgrass Mills was a perfect fit for us,” Raymond Gindi, co-chief executive officer of Century 21, told WWD. The store opened earlier this month and is the start of the department store moving into other areas of the U.S.

The company is sells high-end off-price womenswear, menswear, children’s clothing, accessories and footwear. Established in New York over 50 years ago, the department store offers designer brands at lower, discounted prices. The U.S.-based department store has existing locations mostly in the northeastern region of the country. Century 21 currently has stores in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Its largest location is currently in Manhattan near the World Trade Center, with approximately two other New York locations.
