Fashion and sportswear brand Lacoste has named Jose Luis Duran as chief executive
officer of Lacoste SA, succeeding Christophe Chenut.The appointment was announced at the company’s board meeting in December, which also confirmed that a new board would be put in place as a result of the acquisition by Maus Frères SA, a Swiss retail group in November.
Seven new members were added to the Board of Directors: Didier Maus, Pierre-André Maus, Thierry Halff, Jean-Bernard Rondeau, Duran, and granddaughters of the brand’s founder Rene Lacoste, Sophie Dournel and Beryl Hamilton Lacoste.
It was also confirmed that Maus would be the new elected chairman of the board, a position formerly held by Sophie Lacoste-Dournel.
