Anya Hindmarch launches a build-a-bag line

In a new creative fashion, Anya Hindmarch has decided to add customization to her upcoming collection. Launching this May at Barneys New York, the ready-to-wear designer is allowing customers to build their own bags.

Customers will be able to “build” their bag by picking size, material, decorative elements, and straps. “People want to express who they are, and no one wants the same bag — this way you can make it your own,” Anya Hindmarch told WWD about the launch. Clients will be able to pick between small or large, varying from from 1,150 to 1,250 dollars in price. The materials will range from leather, shearling, and python for these bags. Available in a variety of colors, these customized bags are lined with suede material on the inside.

The bags will launch first at the New York store on May 12, with the customizable collection rolling out in stores starting May 15. The collection will then be available alongside her collections from pre-fall 2017 on an international scale. The line will also retail at Anya Hindmarch’s other locations including cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and London.
