Joe's Jeans adds technology to fashion allowing for accessible smartphone charging

Joe’s Jeans, premium denim company, recently announced that it was combining technology advancements into their jeans. The innovative new design allows for tech-savvy pockets offering easy, accessible charging methods for your smartphone.

The new denim product, aimed at women, is designed with smart phones aptly in mind. The new design incorporates a new “special pocket” above and slightly to the right of the back pocket. It places the smartphone on the hip so that it’s out of the way of most hard surfaces. The pocket is exclusively designed to hold an iPhone, but it will also hold similarly sized devices. The jeans also have a special pocket by the waist that is designed for any portable batteries for your smartphone. This way, the phone can easily reach the portable battery and charge while “on-the-go.” The slim battery is also removable from the jeans so that its appropriate for washing. The battery can charge an iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, and 6. The women’s jeans are available in black, gray, dark blue, and light blue. The denim retails for 189 dollars without the batter. The portable battery costs 49 dollars and can be purchased separately.

Joe’s Jeans was founded in 2001 by Joe Dahan, creative director and current founder. The store is a casual chic lifestyle brand that offers timeless styles to handcrafted collection pieces. Currently the contemporary denim brand operates five stores in California from San Diego to San Francisco. Joe’s Jeans operates 30 company-owned stores in the U.S. Expanding in a global scape, the brand also is available at department stores and specialty boutiques internationally including Europe, Asia and Latin America. Galeries Lafayette, Le Bon Marché, Harrods, Liberty, Printemps and Tsum are a couple of the retailers that Joe’s Jeans are available at. The company currently houses 51-200 employees and is privately held.
