It seems to be the month of actresses and shoe collection. First, Sarah Jessica Parker gains Bloomingdale's as a retail partner for SJP collection, and now, actress Kate Bosworth has launched her line of shoes at Nordstrom. It's no secret that women's shoes is one of the most lucrative businesses in the world.

There are probably a few things in this world more expensive than a woman's shoe habit. It's certainly something that many are starting to capitalize on now more than ever. Everyone is trying to find a way to appeal to a woman's most fantastical shoe needs.

Just several months ago in conjunction with the launch of Disney's new Cinderella movie, Saks launched a collaboration with nine luxury shoe designers to appeal to that woman who still dreamed of a fairytale. Heels have always been a staple in a woman's wardrobe, but, right now they seem to be having an extra special moment. What's most interesting is the length that people will go to for heels.

Kate Bosworth's shoe collection sells out at Nordstrom

A pair of Bosworth's new 500 dollar 'Charlotte' boots could cause someone to forget any other financial responsibilities and swipe their credit card like debt wasn't even a thing. Of course, that is the culture of the investment piece, and Bosworth's shoes are certainly worth the investment. Many women have been dying for her designs. Her collection with Nordstrom is done in collaboration with no other than Matisse Footwear, the stylish shoe company whose designs are sold on websites like zappos and nastygal.com.

Bosworth's collection is so coveted that within 24 hours her tan suede boots covered in stars sold out. It wasn't the only item to sell out either. The same boots in black leather sold out in 36 hours. The only other collections that usually sell out this fast are usually designer collaborations with more affordable retailers (think Alexander Wang for H&M and Lilly Pulitzer for Target.)

The speedy sell out of her product actually surprised Bosworth. "You hope people respond to it,” she said, “but I didn't have any expectations of it being that quick," Bosworth said to WWD during her launch event in Los Angeles at Nordstrom. It's almost as if she became an overnight fashion sensation, but, unlike many overnight sensations, she is poised for much longer than fifteen minutes of fame. This could be the beginning of her becoming the next Sarah Jessica Parker in terms of fashion business.

Unfortunately, due to multiple projects going on, such as filming for a TV show called "The Art of More", Bosworth won't be able to continue her collaboration with Matisse through the fall. Of course, Matisse hasn't ruled out the possibility that it could happen again. "Down the road, you never know,” said Sheena Parks, Matisse’s creative director, was quoted saying to WWD. “It’s an open door.”
