Reima expands to the U.S.

Childrenswear label Reima recently just announced expansion in the U.S. The outerwear apparel company just finalized plans to launch in the country for Fall/Winter 2017.

The company, which has been established for over 70 years, has chosen the U.S. for its newest upcoming collection. After opening locations in over 30 countries, it seems the childrenswear brand is ready to plant more roots in North America. Due to their design and fit of their apparel, Reima remains as a global leader in technical outerwear. “Reima's mission is to guarantee kids the freedom to be active and play outdoors, in any weather, all while keeping functionality, safety, sustainability and innovation in mind,” the company said in a statement. Expanding to the U.S. will help add to the company’s reach on a global level.

The Finland-based brand’s new collection will also pay homage to Scandinavia. As Finland is also celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the AW17 collection will include designs that are inspired by the countryside. The collection will also feature a campaign, #ReimaKidVenture, where kids will join international to celebrate Finland’s anniversary as well as enjoy Lapland. The campaign will launch alongside the collection later this year, although there is no specified date yet. The company also has not confirmed whether or not entering the U.S. market will include just stand-alone stores specifically or a U.S. e-commerce site.
