UK shoppers are world's highest online spenders

The UK's online shoppers spend 50 percent more than any other country online, according to figures from Ofcom’s latest Communications Market Report.

Britons spend 1,968 pounds a year shopping online, ahead of nearest rivals Australia’s 1,356 pounds and the US’s 1,171 pounds.

French online consumers spend 918 pounds a year compared to Italy’s 218 pounds, China’s 214 pounds, and Russia’s 128 pounds.
