Lifestyle footwear and accessory brands developer RG Barry Corporation just announced the appointment of a new key staff member. The company just hired on Boston footwear executive Bob Mullaney as president and chief executive officer effective immediately.
In his new role, Mullaney's responsibilities will include growing the company and its portfolio of brands including Dearfoams, Baggallini, and Foot Petals. He will report to the RG Barry Corporation Board of Directors as the new head executive. "The Board believes that Bob's extensive leadership experience coupled with his success at effecting change make him the right person at the right time to help execute the strategic priorities of RG Barry Corporation," Scott Scharfman, chairman of the RG Barry Corporation Board of Directors, said in a press release. "Bob is a commercially-minded leader; his passion for building brands, deep ecommerce experience and relentless consumer focus will be critical as we drive accelerated growth and expand our customer reach."
Mullaney worked previously for industry-leading footwear and lifestyle brands for over 20 years. He worked as president and chief operating officer of shoes.com, second in e-commerce footwear globally according to a press release by RG Barry Corporation. With his past experience in fashion as well as his past education in business and accounting from Babson College and Bentley College, Mullaney will help to further lead the company with a new leadership approach.
