Hong Kong-based designer Michele Lee is finally bringing her designs to the U.S. Lee, who has worked in garment manufacturing for more than a decade at Profits Fund Global Holding Ltd. in her homeland of China, will be bringing her S.I.L.K. collection stateside. The collection is, as its name would cause customers to assume, composed of mostly silk and silk-blend pieces.
Those of us stateside in New York City might already be familiar with Lee because she has a showroom in NYC’s Garment District. Her brand has begun its steady retail rollout to specialty stores across the U.S., including Harari in California, Evelyn and Arthur in Florida, and Tracy Brent Collections in Connecticut. While the collection is debuting for fall, it will also include a few holiday pieces.
For her U.S. debut, Lee has put a strong emphasis on color and femininity in her designs. The line includes embroidered silk dresses, oversized coats, and chunky knitwear. Price points for the collection range from 250 dollars to 575 dollars and its already available in stores.
