Gap to hire 63,000 personnel for holiday season

The holiday season is arguably the busiest and most lucrative time of year for fashion companies, especially major high street

brands in America.

Gap today announced in order to cope with the demand it will hire 63,000 seasonal workers at its Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and Athleta stores, call centers and distribution centers for the 2014 holiday season.

“To deliver the highest level of customer service at Gap Inc. brands during the busiest time of the year, we’re holding holiday hiring events across the country to attract and secure the best talent possible this holiday season,” said Dan Henkle, SVP Gap Inc. Human Resources.

Seasonal positions will vary from working on the shop floor, to call centres, shipping and customer service.
