Intermix names president and general manager

Fashion retailer Intermix, owned by Gap Inc, has named Jyothi Rao as its president
and general manager, effective September 2.Rao joins from the Gilt Groupe, where she served as the executive vice president and general manager and was instrumental in growing Gilt into a multi-hundred million dollar luxury e-commerce business.
At Intermix, Rao will report into Art Peck, president of Gap Inc’s growth, innovation and digital division, while Khajak Keledjian will remain chief executive of Intermix.
The announcement was made on Gap Inc’s official blog, aDressed, where Peck stated that Rao’s “extensive range of fashion and high-end luxury e-commerce experience” would be a “great addition” to the Intermix team.
Prior to Gilt Groupe, Rao served as senior vice president and general manager of Calvin Klein and she also worked at Gap Inc for 16 years in various roles including vice president of Gap Outlet and divisional merchandise manager of Gap International.
